A fantastic SEN School in Bexley is seeking a confident SEN TA

  • Great Secondary SEN School
  • Long Term Full Time SEN TA role to start ASAP
  • Great Opportunity to demonstrate SEN skills & Knowledge

A well known and excellent Secondary SEN School in the Bexley area is looking for a SEN Learning Support Assistant for a long term and full time role to start in January. The class is based in the KS3 Department and is made up of a small group of male year 7/8 pupils who have high functioning ASC, ADHD, and fine motor skills difficulties. The school is looking for a strong experienced LSA to support the pupils in their learning development and particularly with literacy, numeracy and social skills.

The KS3 department is a very successful team of people who support students with their different needs in the mainstream curriculum.

The majority of support is given in lessons, ensuring all students have a chance to reach their potential in a range of subjects. In class support means the students can achieve in lessons alongside their peers.

The school runs extra-curricular clubs, has a homework club after school and at lunchtime, they have a fun, games and help club where students can come and get help with homework or socialise in a controlled environment.

The school will offer support and training for the successful candidate.

The successful candidate;

• Will ideally have TEACCH training / experience

• Have experience supporting pupils / adults with ADHD, ASC and fine motor skills

• Must be available full time (5 days a week) in January

• Will have experience working with secondary aged pupils with numeracy and literacy
