Art Teacher

Are you looking for a full-time Art teacher position beginning January 2020?

Teaching Personnel are working alongside a large Secondary school in the Bury area that are currently looking for a full-time Art teacher to cover maternity leave.

Our client school has been noted for their welcoming staff community and culture with strong support to provide staff with the most efficient teaching methods. The incoming Art teacher can expect to work with some pupils in need of extra support to increase their attainment.

• Full-time Art teacher, required from January 2020 until the end of the academic year.
• Secondary school in Bury looking for ambitious staff to help improve overall student attainment
• Teaching across Key Stage Three and GCSE.
• Must hold subject specific qualifications within Art.
• Both experienced and newly qualified Art teachers are welcome to apply as relevant induction support will be provided.
• Pay in line with teaching scale point (£24,373 - £40,490 per annum).

The successful Art and Design teacher will be expected to;

• Support with the development of Schemes of Work in line with the National Curriculum for Art.
• Plan, prepare and deliver differentiated Art lessons to meet the needs of individual learners at various levels of learning.
• Assess and evaluate class work reporting back to Senior Teachers in order to take appropriate action to support pupils in meeting their aims and objectives.
• Guide pupils who require additional support within a classroom and implement strategies to help manage their learning.
• Promote positive behaviour management skills amongst pupils and manage behaviour in line with school behaviour policies.

Our client academy is located in Bury and can be accessed via the M66 and A58 from surrounding areas such as Bolton and Salford. For non-drivers, there are several public transportation links from surrounding areas including Bolton, Salford and central Manchester.
