Art and Design Teacher - Bury

Do you have experience teaching Art and Design? Are you looking for a new teaching role starting after the October half term?

Teaching Personnel are working alongside a Secondary Academy in Bury to aid them in recruiting a new Art and Design teacher from October half term until the end of the academic year.

If you are interested in this role, please see further information below:

  • Full-time role from October half term.
  • Must hold specific subject qualifications in Art and Design.
  • Teaching across Key Stage 3 and GCSE.
  • Both experienced and newly qualified Art and Design teachers are welcome to apply as relevant induction support will be provided.
  • Pay in line with teaching scale point (£23,720 - £39,406 per annum)
  • Supporting students at various levels of learning

Working as an Art and Design Teacher in our client academy will involve a variety of roles and responsibilities. Applicants will be expected to support with the development of Schemes of Work in line with the National Curriculum for Modern Foreign Languages and plan, prepare and deliver Art and Design lessons to meet the needs of students at various levels of learning.

It will also be important that potential candidates are able to assess and evaluate class work, reporting back to Senior Teachers in order to take appropriate action to support pupils in meeting their aims and objectives. Our client academy also contains some students who display challenging behaviour and it will be the teacher's responsibility to promote positive behaviour management skills alongside implementing strategies to guide these pupils.

Our client academy is located in Bury and can be accessed via the M66 and A58 from surrounding areas such as Bolton and Salford. For non-drivers, there are several public transportation links from surrounding areas including Bolton, Salford and central Manchester.
