Additional Needs Teaching Assistant
Torfaen

Pay rate: £13 per hour.
Hours:
08:30am- 15:00pm.
Start date: ASAP.

An opportunity has arisen to work within the special needs resource base in a lovely secondary school in the Torfaen area. This is a full-time role due to start in April 2024 during the school hours of 08:30am-15:00pm.

Details of the role:

  • Working closely with pupils with learning difficulties.
  • Helping pupils enhance their life skills.
  • Closely working with pupils with Autism, ADHD, behavioural and nurture needs.
  • Providing interventions – offering assistance with pupils reading and writing skills.
  •  April – July 2024 and booked back into the school for September onwards pending successful review.

This is a challenging but rewarding role that allows you to offer a support mechanism to pupils within a secondary setting that struggle with their schooling day. The pupils you will be providing support for will have learning difficulties and behavioural needs. The school are looking for an individual that is a kind, caring, driven and able to act on innovative with little guidance from other support staff. You will be working within small classes alongside the subject teacher and offering support with basic literacy and numeracy amongst life skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
