Academic Tutor

Teaching Personnel are looking for a number of academic Tutors to work on a 1:1 and small group basis with pupils who require catch up sessions. 

Many of the pupils you will be working with have additional needs, challenging behaviours or struggle to engage academically. 

The roles will be both part and full time, but we are looking for candidates with a minimum of 15 hours per week availability. 

Most of the tuition will take place between 8.30am - 4pm Monday - Friday, on occasion, you may be asked to work after school hours. 

The roles will predominantly take place on school sites or within local youth centres / libraries, where you will work on a 1:1 and small group basis with pupils who require additional tuition. 

The candidate applying for this role will ideally hold a teaching qualification or have experience delivering a range of subjects, predominantly English, science and maths. 

The pay for this role will be between GBP25 - 35 per hour and candidates will be expected to plan some of their own work. 

The roles will start as soon as possible and to register, you must have or be willing to apply for a fully enhanced DBS on the update service.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
