A secondary school situated in Greater Manchester are looking to appoint a Graduate Academic Learning Mentor to support their Key Stage 3 students on a full time basis. The Academic Learning Mentor position is to start after February half term and will continue until the end of the academic year. The secondary school has been recently graded as OUTSTANDING by their recent Ofsted inspection and have highly engaging students that are eager to learn in their Maths and English studies. The vacancy is for a recent graduate who has a passion to develop academic studies for students at the secondary school.

The secondary school based in Greater Manchester is looking for a confident Academic Learning Mentor who can provide support to students at a high standard. The school has established itself by providing a high level of education to a variety of students for a long period in Manchester. The OUTSTANDING Ofsted grade is evident from the respectful students and the vibrant learning environment the school produces on a consistent basis. The staff at the school are also known to prioritise their students with engaging lessons to improve their academic grade.

Criteria for the Academic Learning Mentor:

**Graduate in either Maths or English at least 2:1

**Passion to work with students at key stage 3

**Commit to a full time schedule and be available from February to July

**Confident in mentoring students with both Maths and English

As an Academic Learning Mentor you will collaborate with the Maths and English departments to ensure you are providing the highest level of academic support to the Key stage 3 students. You will monitor their progression in their academic studies and liaise with their pastoral year managers on a weekly basis. Your timetable will mainly consist of working with students in small groups in their English and Maths lessons, but you will also work the students on a one to one basis to review their weekly progression.
