2018 Psychology Grads: Partner Teacher roles in Islington

Date posted : 10/07/18
£325 - £425 per week

Job description

This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...

About the role

A small but expanding primary school (N4) are looking for a recent Psychology graduate who has passion and experience in helping pupils with Challenging Behaviour, ASD, Down Syndrome and Global Delay. The role is an SEN Teaching Assistant position in September, and is the perfect opportunity for those who wish to explore the rewarding careers within Educational and Behavioural Psychology.

This post will offer you the chance to make a positive influence on the pupil's development, and in turn allow you to gain experience in a long-term role as you work within a patient but exciting environment! You will be working alongside a devoted school staff team, as well learning from SEN professionals within their own right - these might include External Psychologists, School nurses and other medical professionals! More often that not, these roles are focused on integration in each class; whilst working on cognitive behaviour strategies and analysing how to help children increase their attainment.

The SEN Assistant position is suitable for a graduate who either wishes to enter Teaching themselves, or is looking at versatile roles within the Education sector (such as Educational, Behavioural and Developmental Psychology): Full-time opportunities within schools are the perfect start to your post-graduate career!

The school belongs in a thriving area of North Central London, which has established a major importance within the community; as a hub of learning and activity which simultaneously creates and benefits from a passionate local pride. It is located just 10-15 minutes away from the nearest tube station, and boasts strong bus links to the school's door - therefore it is easily accessible.

If you wish to hear more about the role, contact Mike at NOW! You must be available to interview and trial within the next 2 weeks. Remember, schools finish on the 20th of July - but there's still time to secure yourself a role for September - which is of course perfect timing after coming back from your hols!
