Job Title: 2:1 Teaching Assistant
Location: Ferndown
Start Date: After the Easter Holidays
Contract: Part-Time – 4 Days per Week

We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic 2:1 Teaching Assistant to join one of our welcoming and supportive primary schools in Ferndown. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children’s learning and development in a nurturing school environment.

The role will involve working closely with two pupils who require additional support in the classroom. You will play a key part in helping them access the curriculum, build confidence, and develop both academically and socially.

The Role:

  • Providing 2:1 support for pupils within the classroom environment

  • Assisting the class teacher with delivering engaging and inclusive learning activities

  • Supporting pupils with their academic progress, social development, and emotional wellbeing

  • Helping to adapt learning resources to meet individual needs

  • Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting independence

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or supporting children in an educational setting

  • Be patient, proactive, and passionate about supporting young learners

  • Have a good understanding of primary school learning and classroom support

  • Be able to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents

  • Be committed, reliable, and able to work effectively as part of a team
