1:1 tutors needed in Oxfordshire

Teaching Personnel are currently looking for tutors to work on a 1:1 basis with looked after children. You will be working closely to support Primary and Secondary aged students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties who need additional support with certain subjects.

We are looking for a qualified teacher of any subjects or cover supervisors to deliver 1:1 tuition on a weekly basis for looked after children. Sessions usually last for 1 to 2 hours depending on the needs of the child and have flexibility on the timings that these can be held.

The teacher will:

  • Hold QTS (qualified teacher status) or an overseas teaching degree converted by Naric
  • Prepare tutoring sessions to meet the students individual needs
  • Provide regular feedback to senior leadership team, care team, caregivers and students
  • Ensure the learning materials used are up to date and relevant to the subject area
  • Act in a professional manor at all times
  • Report directly to the agency on a regular basis about any changes to the tuition
  • Strive to ensure that the individual reaches their full potential

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and welfare of children. All candidates applying to jobs through Teaching Personnel must undertake or have undertaken an Enhanced Disclosure via DBS-Full assistance provided (AGY).

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
