SEN Tutor – Winchester

TP Tutors is recruiting enthusiastic SEN Tutors to provide one-to-one tuition throughout Winchester and the surrounding communities.

Our tutors support children and young people with a variety of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, SEMH, learning difficulties, and learners who benefit from personalised education outside of mainstream classrooms. By delivering tailored sessions, you'll help learners overcome barriers and celebrate success at their own pace.

Location: Winchester and surrounding areas
Contract: Flexible part-time and full-time opportunities
Pay: £25–£30 per hour
Delivery: One-to-one tuition in schools, community venues, or learners' homes

Your Responsibilities

• Deliver personalised tuition programmes tailored to individual learner needs
• Create engaging lessons that encourage both academic and personal development
• Adapt teaching methods and learning resources to maximise learner engagement
• Support learners in developing confidence, independence, and resilience
• Monitor progress and maintain accurate session records
• Communicate effectively with parents, carers, schools, and other professionals

Essential Experience

• Experience working with children or young people with SEN/SEND
• Background in teaching, tutoring, mentoring, youth work, teaching assistance, or similar educational roles
• Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
• Ability to travel across Winchester and nearby areas
• Strong communication and organisational skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
