SEN Tutor Roles Available – Support Young People Across Shoreham-by-Sea

TP Tutors is looking for caring and enthusiastic SEN Tutors to deliver personalised one-to-one tuition for students across Shoreham-by-Sea and surrounding areas.

Position: SEN Tutor
Location: Shoreham-by-Sea and nearby areas
Hours: Flexible part-time and full-time opportunities available

About the Role

This rewarding position involves supporting learners who may face challenges in mainstream education due to additional needs such as Autism, ADHD, SEMH needs, anxiety, or disrupted schooling.

As an SEN Tutor, you will deliver tailored learning support that helps students rebuild confidence, re-engage with education, and make meaningful academic and personal progress.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver structured one-to-one tuition sessions
  • Adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning needs
  • Build positive, supportive relationships with learners
  • Support both academic progress and personal development
  • Monitor progress and adjust support strategies as needed
  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and professionals
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment

Ideal Candidate

  • Experience working with children or young people is beneficial
  • Backgrounds in education, tutoring, mentoring, care, youth work, or support roles are welcomed
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patient, calm, and adaptable approach
  • Organised and reliable with a commitment to learner progress
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities
  • Ability to travel across Shoreham-by-Sea and surrounding areas

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
