Job description

Teaching Personnel work closely with a School based on the outskirts of Preston who are seeking a Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a male pupil who has additional needs and displays quite challenging behaviours. The School is smaller than average and it caters specifically for those pupils who can no longer remain in mainstream education. The pupils in School have a range of needs including Autism, ADHD, SEMH Difficulties, ODD, Conduct Disorder and Learning Difficulties. The School are seeking a hard working, empathetic and resilient 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide support for a pupil who can display very challenging behaviours. The School would like to appoint a full time member of staff on a long term, possibly permanent, basis. 

The School are looking for a candidate who has experience supporting children or adults who display challenging behaviours and have an understanding of working with children with SEN. The School are hoping to appoint an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant who has experience supporting children on a 1:1 basis and if you have your Team Teach qualification you would be favoured, but this is not essential. 

The successful candidate will benefit from: 

- negotiable pay rates GBP57 - 67 per day 

- long term position available 

- rewarding position supporting a pupil with additional needs
