One-to-one Teaching Assistant
Tameside
Do you have or want to gain experience working in a diverse school setting supporting students with Special Educational Needs?
- Full time role, term time only
- Working hours 8:30am - 3:30pm
- Start date 1st September 2019
Teaching Personnel are currently looking for a highly motivated individual to provide appropriate one-to-one support for an individual pupil with Special Educational Needs. Due to an Educational Health Care Plan, our client school is now looking for a Teaching Assistant who is passionate about making a different to the lives of young people and will be available to join our client school from the 1st of September 2019.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with children aged 11-18 and will have excellent behaviour management techniques, a strong character, persistence and the enthusiasm to make a real difference at our client school. Responsibilities of this role will include providing one-to-one support as well as small group support to students with Special Educational Needs.
The successful candidate will join our client schools Learning Support Centre and will work alongside the SENCO and a team of dedicated Learning Support Assistants.
Our partner school is an oversubscribed, 11-16, mixed comprehensive school and is situated in Tameside to the east of Manchester and is close to the borders with Stockport and the Peak District. The school offers excellent facilities, a friendly and supportive environment and opportunities for professional development. In their most recent Ofsted inspection, the school was judged to be good in all areas including quality of teaching, behaviour of pupils and leadership and management.
