1:1 Teaching Assistant – Full-Time | Bournemouth | September Start

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join one of our welcoming mainstream primary schools in Bournemouth from September.

This is a full-time, long-term opportunity supporting a child on a 1:1 basis, making a meaningful difference to their educational journey and helping them reach their full potential in a supportive classroom environment.

The Role

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with a pupil who requires additional support to access learning, build confidence, and develop both academically and socially. You'll work alongside the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored strategies and create a positive learning experience.

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday
  • Full-time
  • Typical school hours (approximately 8:30am – 3:30pm)
  • Starting September 2026

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Previous experience working with children in a school, nursery, or care setting.
  • Experience supporting children with additional needs, including SEND, is desirable but not essential.
  • A patient, nurturing, and resilient approach.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A genuine passion for helping children succeed.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
