1:1 Teaching Assistant - Barnsley (S73)

Teaching Personnel are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant who can provide consistent 1:1 to support for a pupil within a Barnsley Primary (S73). You will act as their role model and mentor to support their needs to help improve their educational journey. You will be a nurturing individual with the patience and passion to adapt to the pupils learning style and help them on a full-time basis with their core learning.

You will:

  • Have a high expectation of every child enabling them to make exceptional progress
  • Have the relevant qualification or relevant work experience with children with challenging behaviour, either on a 1:1 basis or small groups
  • Be able to motivate children who are disengaged from learning
  • Excellent positive behaviour management skills
  • Shown initiative and be confident to get involved in all areas of the school
