Salary: GBP60-70 per day

The head teacher of a school in the Redland area are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated SEN Teaching Assistant to support a year 3 child with an EHCP on a 1:1 basis. This is a full-time position to start immediately.This child has learning difficulties as well as anxiety and struggles with communicating effectively how she is feeling and therefore the classroom environment can be an overwhelming place. In having some 1:1 support the school are hoping the child will become more confident in answering questions and in their own independent learning. In this role you will be working alongside the SENCo in order to create specific activities that aim to improve the child’s speech and communication. This child requires someone who can build a relationship and begin to understand the child’s way of communicating.

The ideal candidate must have strong communication and people skills, be able to work effectively as part of a team as well as will the children and family of the child. It would be excellent if the ideal candidate had experience working with education health care plans or pupils with autism, EAL or SEN. However, all school based experience will be considered.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
