1:1 Reception SEN Teaching Assistant

A growing school in Tower Hamlets well known for having a strong community spirit are looking to bring in a new Teaching Assistant to start in ASAP.

The role is to work 1:1 with a pupil with ASC (non-verbal). This will be a challenging role but will be extremely rewarding with clear results to the work you put in.

The child has difficulties with social communication and interaction due to being non-verbal so the school are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant with previous experience of PECs. He also has difficulties with attention and listening, sensory processing and modulation, gross and fine motor skills and self-help skills.

To be suited for the role you will need to:

• Have experience in a previous 1-1 ASC role
• Strong English Language skills and a good understanding of PECs
• Be patient, persistent and encouraging!
