Teaching Personnel are seeking a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to work as part of the team, the candidate is required to support a child who is finding it challenging to access the curriculum and make progress.
You must be patient and caring and be a good team player. Previous experience of working with children with additional educational needs would be advantageous. Applicants will need to be able use their initiative and adapt quickly and intuitively to the needs of the child as well as a having a willingness to learn and receive direction from others. Candidates should ideally be an intelligent and confident Graduate. English graduates are highly desirable as the role involves supporting the child with the schools curriculum and more specifically in Literacy.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Interest and enthusiasm for working with children and supporting learning
- Experience of caring for or working with primary aged children
- Excellent literacy and numeracy skills: English & Math's GCSE (A-C)
- A 'can-do' attitude and the willingness to go above and beyond the role specification
The successful candidate will be working closely with the child to support their educational needs and achieve the outcomes set out in their Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
