A primary school in Blackheath is looking to appoint a teaching assistant for full time work in September 2019. This is a small school, which really has a family feel to it. Many staff have been at the school for 10+ years and promote positivity, a healthy work-life balance and collaborative planning and preparation.

Details of the role:

  • 1:1 support for a boy who is going into year 6, is diagnosed with autism and sometimes displays associated challenging behaviour
  • Full time role, starting in September and likely running for the whole academic year
  • Normal school working hours, which are 08:30am - 15:30pm, Monday to Friday, term time only
  • You will be in a full year 6 class of maximum 30 students, there will be a class teacher and one other teaching assistant in the room at all times
  • Free parking available in the street where the school is, and easy public transport access from Blackheath train station and several bus routes

The school are going to trial potential candidates in the first week back in September (week beginning 2nd September) and the job will officially start the week beginning 9th September.

If you are available for full time work and would like to be considered for this job, you will need to contact Teaching Personnel to register with the agency so we can put you forward to the school.

Please be aware all candidates must have a DBS on the update service, or be willing to apply for a new certificate as soon as possible.
