Teaching Personnel work closely with a Leyland based school which caters specifically for pupils with SEMH Difficulties, Autism, ADHD, ODD and challenging behaviours.
The school is smaller than average and caters specifically for KS2 - 4 pupils who have additional learning needs and cannot remain in mainstream education. Your role would be partly based in school, partly based in the outreach centre where you'd deliver activities such as sports, activities and drama.
The school cater for pupils who often display challenging behaviours and struggle to engage in education. The school are hoping to appoint a member of staff on a temp - perm basis.
Please note, this is not a Youth Worker role, it is a Teaching Assistant role, however the school have advised that candidates from a Youth Worker background have previously made a big impact on the pupils. It is not essential for you to have Youth Worker experience but you must have experience working with young people.
The candidate applying for this role must be experienced in working with children or adults who display challenging behaviours and have a compassionate, empathetic and confident personality. The candidate must also be available full time, school hours are 8.30 - 4pm, Monday - Friday.
The pay for this role will be GBP10 - GBP11 per hour.
