Additional support required for identified pupils in 11-16 comprehensive secondary school, helping to better the engagement with education following the closures. 

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a smaller than average mainstream secondary school in Bury who are currently looking to recruit a dedicated Youth Worker from November 2020 to work with a group of identified pupils aged 11 to 16 who posses challenging behaviour and struggle to engage in lessons. The pupils will require support with behaviour management and reaching their full potential.  

Highlights of the Youth Worker role:

  • Full-time Youth Worker (temporary role)
  • Starting November 2020 - January 2021 in the first instance - likely to be required until the summer upon review 
  • Secondary school located in Bury - close to Whitefield 
  • Supporting pupils with challenging behaviour who are more likely to be at risk of exclusion, especially after the closures.
  • Working at a supportive and inclusive secondary school, alongside the school’s SENCO and pastoral department.
  • Earning up to GBP1300 a month (paid weekly)

The incoming Youth Worker will join a fantastic team of teachers and support staff in who are dedicated to the learning and development of its pupils. The school is a new build with modern learning facilities. This will be a truly rewarding opportunity for the incoming Youth Worker who is dedicated to ensuring pupils have the best chance of reaching their full potential, especially from disadvantaged backgrounds.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
