Are you a current youth worker looking for a new role supporting at a secondary school in Warrington?

Do you have experience of working with youths or adolescents in any setting?

This secondary school located in the Warrington area is looking for a youth worker with relevant experience to support within a secondary school setting. The successful youth worker will be supporting students within a classroom setting or in small groups, assisting them with any needs they may have. This may include academic needs supporting with specific work or working with them on a behavioural level.

Highlights of this youth worker support role:

  • Pay ranging between GBP1140 - GBP1300 per month depending upon experience
  • Start in March 2021 prior to the Easter holiday
  • Opportunity to support within a selection of highly supportive secondary schools
  • Opportunity to be a part of the future teachers programme if relevant
  • Support a teacher training application gaining relevant experience within a secondary school
  • Highly rewarding role working within a supportive environment

This specific school is looking for a confident and motivated individual/youth worker who is passionate about supporting young people between the ages of 11 and 18. There may be elements of behaviour support, supporting various special educational needs and assisting students within the classroom and the class teacher. Utilising previous youth work experience is vital in this role with transferable skills being paramount in supporting in a secondary school environment.

This role would suit any of the following:

  • Youth worker working with individuals aged 11 – 18 in any setting including secondary school, support/care capacity, in the community or as a mentor
  • Sports coach looking to support within a secondary school environment
  • Future teacher looking to pursue a career in the education sector, gaining further experience of supporting students
  • Graduate with relevant secondary school experience, assisting as a Teaching Assistant or Cover Supervisor

This school is located in the Warrington area, easily accessible from Penketh, Great Sankey, Grappenhall and even central Warrington. Being centrally located makes them very easily accessible via public transport as well as from further afield given the motorway network of M60, M62 and M6.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
