Do you have a passion for working with young people? Are you considering a PGCE in the future, and wish to gain invaluable experience within a large Secondary school in Rochdale?
If so, please see the details of the Youth Work teaching assistant position available at our partner school.
Due to a restructure within the support department, the school wish to appoint a teaching assistant from a Youth Work background to work with pupils across KS3 and KS4 to support their learning. This position will commence with immediate effect, and will continue into the new academic year.
Job expectations:
- Full time teaching assistant position
- Working with small groups of students within the Learning Support Department
- Covering lessons in the absence of the class teacher, building upon behaviour management skills
- Working directly with the Inclusion Manager at school, recording progress made by pupils
- Monitoring behaviour of identified pupils

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
