Youth Worker

We work closely with a Leyland based school which provides education and support for KS3 / 4 pupils with additional needs. The pupils at this school have ADHD, Autism, SEMH Difficulties, ODD and challenging behaviours. Many of the students in this school find it hard to engage in the curriculum which is why the school are ideally looking for a candidate from a youth work background, who can use innovative ideas to get the pupils engaged. 

The role is full time and school hours are 8.30am - 4pm Monday - Friday. The role is likely to become permanent for the right candidate, after an initial handover period. 

The candidate will be experienced in working with students from different backgrounds, students who can display challenging behaviours and ideally have an understanding of working with children who have special educational needs. 

Pay for this role will be dependent on experience but a minimum of GBP10 per hour.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
