Teaching Personnel work closely with a Blackburn based Behavioural Unit which provides support and education for pupils with SEMH Difficulties, Autism, ADHD and ODD. The School is smaller than average and class sizes are generally under 8 pupils per class and they will display quite challenging behaviours. The School are hoping to appoint a hard working, enthusiastic and empathetic Teaching Assistant to work alongside pupils with SEMH Difficulties. The School cater for pupils who are no longer in mainstream education for a variety of reasons, therefore, candidates must be confident in their behaviour management skills yet still remain empathetic to the needs of the pupils.
The School is based centrally in the Blackburn area and candidates must be willing to work with pupils who could become violent or aggressive in certain situations. The School are looking for a hard working, experienced and understanding Teaching Assistant who are looking for a long term role in a forward thinking SEN School.
The role will be full time, starting in the new academic year and School hours are roughly 8.40am - 3pm Monday - Friday.
The successful candidates will benefit from:
- Negotiable pay rates £57 - 70 per day
