My client school is a pupil referral unit based in central Manchester and they are seeking to employ graduates with a degree associated with youth and community work. The Manchester PRU caters for young people who have been excluded for mainstream education as a result of displaying challenging behaviours. The overall goal of the PRU is to manage and address the difficulties which lead to the exclusion in an effort to get the young people back into mainstream education. They are now seeking to employ a number of youth and community studies graduates to work on a short and long term basis within the school as teaching assistants.
The ideal graduate for this Manchester PRU will have a degree relating to youth and community work. Having a background working with young people is also a necessity for this role. You must also have a confident personality and will not be fazed by behaviours which could be described as ‘challenging’.
The pay rate for this role will be £8.07-£9 per hour depending on experience.
If you would like to apply for this Manchester graduate teaching assistant position please forward a copy of your CV to james.johnson@teachingpersonnel.com or additionally call the office on 01612421795 for more information.
