Youth workers required for supply work and contracted positions in schools and alternative provisions.

Do you have a background in working with children who face challenges around education or finding employment? Would you like the opportunity to support children in alternative provisions and enable them to complete their studies prior to leaving KS4?

Teaching Personnel Manchester SEN branch work exclusively with the Manchester and Salford SEN provisions, catering for children who are no longer in mainstream education. Children can have a range of learning needs, including Social & Emotional Mental Health, MLD/SLD and as a result require full time support to improve their attainment, attendance and general confidence within education. If you are based in Manchester or Salford (or can commute) and would like ad-hoc supply work or a more fixed full time position which could become permanent, we would like to hear from you now. The work available can range from; teaching assistant, behaviour support assistant, hourly tutors, special support assistant. If you have a background working with children as a Youth Worker, or in education with SEN (SEMH) we welcome your application, benefits of registering with Teaching Personnel include;

  • Weekly pay (via PAYE) with NI and Pension contribution as an employer
  • Earn up to £12 per hour (experience and responsibility dependant)
  • Casual supply work or full time contract roles available which can become permanent
  • The opportunity to make a positive contribution to the education of children
  • CPD and training opportunities (Team-Teach, Safeguarding, Manual Handling)
  • Immediate work in SEN schools/provisions in Manchester and Salford
  • A clear registration process and support with a DBS/references (if required)

If you have relevant qualifications or experience in this environment or similar working with children, we welcome your application. You will be working with secondary aged pupils (11-16) and require a child workforce DBS and suitable references.
