Are you a caring individual with a passion for supporting vulnerable adolescents in the community? Have you felt discouraged by the emphasis on exam results and OFSTED inspections in education? Or perhaps you're a graduate seeking valuable experience in a psychological environment?

If so, you might be surprised to learn that specific teaching assistant training or experience is not necessary. • Support workers
  • Carers and Babysitters
  • Sports coaches

We are currently seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to join our specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) school in Fishponds. This role is not for the faint-hearted; these children have faced neglect and trauma, and may struggle to regulate their emotions, sometimes resulting in behaviours such as shouting, hitting out, swearing, and tears. • Accessibility: Easily reachable by public transport from UWE campus
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm
  • Start date: Immediate or in September
