'Good' Catholic Primary School
Full time, long-term position (32 hours per week)
Handover period required with the current Year 6 TA
Teaching Personnel have been approached by a Roman Catholic in the heart of Burnley who are looking to appoint a Year 6 Teaching Assistant to start just before the February half term holidays covering a full Maternity. The Headteacher is looking to interview as soon as possible and is open to applications for level two & three's.
The incoming Year 6 Teaching Assistant will enjoy the benefits of working in a 1 form entry, 'Good' top performing Primary School in Burnley. When the pupils join the school in the EYFS stage, the levels fall typical for their age, however when they leave in Year 6 results are generally significantly above average. The school previously has been in the top 20% nationally in terms of achievement.
The behaviour in school is excellent and the pupils are polite, well mannered and welcoming, exclusions are unheard of. Staff enjoy coming into school because behaviour is exemplary and attendance is good, in addition the support from senior leaders is constant and evident. The school was described by one parent as an 'asset to its community' and it has successful working relationships with numerous local groups and organisations.
