Here at Teaching Personnel we have had a request for a Teaching Assistant to support a pupil on a 1:1 basis at a large primary school in Warrington. The Headteacher has asked for someone to start immediately until the end of the summer term, this is a full time position working with a male pupil with special educational needs, previous experience with social, Emotional and Mental Health is essential and ideally you will have a good knowledge of the national curriculum.

The school is rated as ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted and is a highly inclusive school in which equally high expectations are met. The Head is looking specifically at someone with relevant experience as the child has some challenging behaviour.

Experience supporting special educational needs is essential and you will need to be comfortable with all elements of this role. As an SEN teaching assistant, you will work only with the pupil throughout the school day, assisting him within lessons and accompanying him during break and dinner time.
