Job description

Teaching Assistants Wanted in Crawley – Make a Difference Every Day!

Are you passionate about helping young people learn, grow and reach their full potential? Do you have a natural ability to build positive relationships and make students feel supported and valued?

Teaching Personnel are looking for enthusiastic, reliable and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join a range of schools across Crawley and the surrounding areas.

Whether you’re an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for a new challenge, a recent graduate considering a career in education, or someone with valuable experience working with children or young people, we could have the perfect opportunity for you.

A Range of Opportunities Available

We are currently recruiting for both Secondary School Teaching Assistants and SEN Teaching Assistants, with a variety of positions available across Crawley.

As a Teaching Assistant, you could find yourself supporting students in the classroom, working alongside teachers to deliver engaging lessons, providing one-to-one support, or helping small groups of students overcome barriers to learning.

For those interested in Special Educational Needs (SEN), our schools are looking for caring and patient individuals who can provide tailored support to students with a range of additional needs. This could include supporting students with autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, communication needs or social and emotional needs.

No two days are the same, and the impact you can have is incredibly rewarding. Sometimes, simply being the person who encourages a student to keep trying, celebrates their progress or helps them feel confident enough to participate can make all the difference.

Competitive Pay & Opportunities to Progress

Daily pay starts from £92.63 per day, with opportunities varying depending on experience, qualifications, responsibilities and the individual role.

We also offer Cover Supervisor positions, providing an exciting next step for candidates who are ready to take on increased responsibility within a school environment.

Cover Supervisor roles can offer increased responsibility and higher rates of pay, allowing you to build valuable classroom experience while developing your confidence and skills.

For anyone considering a long-term career in education, working as a Teaching Assistant or Cover Supervisor can be an excellent way to gain hands-on experience and discover where your future could take you.

❤️ What We’re Looking For

We’re interested in people who genuinely want to make a positive difference.

You don’t necessarily need years of classroom experience. What matters is your attitude, reliability and ability to connect with young people.

You could be a great fit if you are:

  • Caring, patient and approachable

  • Passionate about supporting children and young people

  • Confident communicating with students and staff

  • Reliable, adaptable and professional

  • Able to build positive relationships

  • Interested in developing a career within education

  • Experienced in working with children, young people or individuals with additional needs

Previous experience within a school is certainly beneficial, but we also welcome applications from graduates and candidates with transferable experience from areas such as youth work, childcare, sports coaching, mentoring, care work or support work.

Why Work with Teaching Personnel?

At Teaching Personnel, we understand that finding the right school and role is about more than simply finding your next job.

We want to understand you, your experience and what you’re looking for, so we can help match you with opportunities that suit your skills and ambitions.

Whether you’re looking for regular work, a long-term position, experience within education or your next step towards a career in teaching, our team can help you explore the opportunities available.

You’ll have the chance to gain experience across different school environments, develop your classroom skills and make valuable connections within education.

Most importantly, you’ll have the opportunity to play a genuine role in helping young people succeed.

Your Next Opportunity Could Be Waiting

If you’re looking for a role where every day brings something different, where your support can have a real impact and where you can develop professionally along the way, we’d love to hear from you.

Teaching Personnel are recruiting now for Teaching Assistants and SEN Teaching Assistants across Crawley, with Cover Supervisor opportunities also available for those looking for increased responsibility and pay.

Starting from £92.63 per day, there are opportunities for people at different stages of their education career.
