Role: Year 6 Teacher

Schedule: Full Time

Contract: PAYE/ Temp to Perm

Start Date: October 2025

Pay Rate: £120 - £232.56 per day (depending on experience)

 

 

A vibrant and supportive primary school based in Norris Green (L11) is looking to appoint a passionate and experienced Year 6 Teacher to join their team from October. The school is committed to fostering a positive learning environment where every child is encouraged to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. With a strong focus on progress and wellbeing, the school provides a broad and balanced curriculum that inspires pupils to achieve their full potential.

The successful candidate will deliver high-quality teaching to Year 6 pupils, preparing them effectively for transition to secondary education. They will play a vital role in planning, assessing, and adapting lessons to meet the varied needs and abilities of all learners. Collaboration with colleagues, parents, and external agencies is key to supporting pupil progress and wellbeing.

This role offers an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher who is committed to raising standards, building strong relationships with pupils, and contributing positively to the school community. The position is initially fixed term with the potential to become permanent based on performance and school needs.

 

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching upper Key Stage 2
  • Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and a strong understanding of the Year 6 curriculum, including SATs preparation
  • Be skilled in planning, delivering, and assessing engaging and inclusive lessons
  • Have experience managing behaviour effectively in a classroom setting
  • Be able to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
