Job description

Teaching Personnel are working closely with a client school that are looking to recruit a KS2 Teacher to start in November 2017. Due to a planned absence and a maternity leave coming up in the Head Teacher is seeking a Year 6 Class Teacher to come in and hit the ground running. The position is full-time and will continue until the end of the school year in July 2018 with the potential for the position to continue even longer.

The school is a larger than average, Primary school based in Liverpool. It was graded 'Requires Improvement' in its last Ofsted report and there was halted progress made by the pupils through key stage 1 and attainment levels are below the national average by the end of key stage 2. This is something the new Headteacher is looking to change in the next couple of years alongside improving the Ofsted grading.

The Year 6 class consists of 25 pupils from varying backgrounds and mixed ability. There are5 pupils in the class with additional needs however; there is a Teaching Assistant in place to offer support and guidance throughout the placement. The school are looking for someone with experience of working in Year 6 and the SATs process to accelerate learning in a underperforming year group.

The school is located in Central Liverpool and has secure gated parking on site for all staff. It is easily accessible from around the city with brilliant bus links and a nearby bus station to the school. I urge all Teachers interested in this position to please get in touch! If you would like more information on this position and other positions we have available, please contact Jack in the Liverpool Primary Team.
