Role Overview: As a Year 6 Class Teacher, you'll play a pivotal role in preparing students for their transition to secondary education. Your passion, expertise, and commitment to academic excellence will guide students through this important year, ensuring they are equipped with the skills and confidence for their next educational journey.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality and engaging lessons across the Year 6 curriculum, including English, Mathematics, Science, and more.
- Prepare students for key assessments, including SATs, providing effective support and guidance.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and fosters a love for learning.
- Provide guidance and pastoral support to students, helping them navigate the challenges of their final year in primary school.
- Collaborate with colleagues and parents to ensure students receive comprehensive support and guidance.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching in Key Stage 2.
- Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and assessment requirements.
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create a supportive and engaging learning environment.
- Effective communication skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
