Full-Time Year 5 Class Teacher – Primary School in Northolt

A welcoming and forward-thinking primary school in Northolt (UB5) is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 5 Class Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis. This opportunity is ideal for a committed educator who is passionate about Key Stage 2 teaching and eager to contribute to a supportive and inclusive school environment.

The Role:

  • Position: Year 5 Class Teacher

  • Working Pattern: Full-time

  • Start Date: [Insert start date or “as soon as possible”]

  • Contract Type: Fixed-term or long-term (with potential for permanent placement)

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 national curriculum

  • Assessing and tracking pupil progress, maintaining accurate records

  • Creating a positive, inclusive learning environment where all pupils can thrive

  • Working collaboratively with year group colleagues, support staff, and parents

  • Contributing to the wider school life and upholding the school’s values

Candidate Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Proven experience teaching in Key Stage 2 (Year 5 experience desirable but not essential)

  • A strong understanding of the national curriculum and effective teaching strategies

  • High expectations for all pupils and a commitment to raising standards

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
