We are looking for a passionate year 4 teaching assistant who is looking for part time or full time work in Finchley. The primary school is well respected within the local area and is a nursey and infant school. At the forefront of the infant schools philosophy is providing a safe and caring environment for all pupils, where academic attainment and a supportive senior leadership team go hand in hand. The school is looking to provide these children with the care and support they need throughout their school lives in order to succeed both academically and socially.

Your responsibilities will include supporting a class full of pupils with differing learning abilities. The class sizes do vary but usually consist of around 14 to 21 young children who have excellent behaviour. Furthermore, you will support the class teacher with various activities to the pupils throughout the day. There are around five children where English is not their first language so your role would include helping them to feel more comfortable within a classroom environment. Additionally, if you have any experience working with vulnerable children in a classroom environment with any learning difficulties such as: Autism, Down Syndrome, or Hearing and Visual Impairment; we would like to here from you!

What we are looking for?

• Passionate about supporting young people
• Possess a Valid DBS certificate
• Has KS2 Experience
• Experience working with SEN pupils

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
