Job description

Role: Primary School Teaching Assistant

Class: Year 4

Location: Gateacre (L25)

Start Date: September 2026

We are working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the L25 area that is dedicated to providing a supportive and nurturing environment for all pupils. The school has a strong community ethos, a caring staff team, and a focus on helping every child reach their full potential both academically and emotionally.

They are now looking for a compassionate and reliable Teaching Assistant to support a Year 4 pupil on a 1:1 basis from September.

About the Role:

  • Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil in Year 4
  • Support both learning and day-to-day wellbeing
  • Work closely with teaching staff to ensure the pupil thrives

Key Requirements:

  • Essential: Proven experience supporting children with diabetes
  • ✅ Confident with insulin administration and blood glucose monitoring
  • ✅ Patient, proactive, and caring approach
  • ✅ Previous school-based experience is desirable

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
