A lovely Roman Catholic primary school in the Levenshulme area of South Manchester is looking for a teaching assistant to work in a vibrant year 3 class. The position would start immediately and will run up until the end of the academic year. The ideal candidate will have experience within school or should be looking towards developing their career in the education sector. This role is to work in a "GOOD" primary school with supportive staff and eager children who make continuous progression in all areas. This makes for a good working environment and an excellent opportunity for the right person.

The head teacher is looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant who holds a level 3 TA qualifications or equivalent. The ideal candidate will be expected to take small intervention groups and will be confident in delivering to the whole class where necessary.

To be considered, you will have recent and relevant experience supporting learning across KS2 and will be looking to develop your career in education.

The successful candidate would be expected to,

  • Work with pupils on a 1:1 basis focusing on literacy and numeracy
  • Conduct structured activities for small groups of children
  • Support the class teacher in day to day activities
  • Adhere to the Roman Catholic ethos of the school

This teaching assistant position would be an amazing opportunity for someone who wants to gain experience working in KS2 or to develop their career in the education sector. All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
