A small School in Burnley are looking to appoint an experienced and dedicated Teacher to join their welcoming and skilled team. The role is based on a Part Time basis, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons, covering PPA cover and Management time. You will be supporting Year 3 on Wednesdays and Thursdays and Year 4 on Fridays. The classes are a larger number of approximately 30 children and your priority roll is to deliver a wide range of lessons following the National Curriculum and help boost and maintain attainment levels across the two Classes.
Due to the position being PPA cover and Management time cover the Head Teacher has stressed that an outstanding knowledge of the National Curriculum is vital. You will be expected to plan and deliver lessons making them engaging and captivating for the pupils.
The school has a varied catchment with a mixture of ethnicity across school. The Head Teacher has said the behaviour is generally good with the occasional challenging day' however structured behaviour policies are in place which the Teachers follow with ease. The Head Teacher has praised her staff as 'supportive and hard-working'.
The salary is based on a 4 hour day, Wednesday to Friday afternoons, and depending on experience, this could vary between £50-£75 per half day.
