SEN Teaching Assistant

Are you passionate about helping children grow and succeed? And have an interest of supporting SEN students’ development and progression? We are seeking for Teaching assistants with SEN/care experience to join one of the multiple settings we have across Sheffield

Location: Sheffield / Rotherham / Chesterfield

Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time / Flexible

Salary: Competitive Rate

Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm

About the Role:

Our ideal candidate…

  • Can support classroom teachers in planning and delivering engaging and creative lessons
  • Experience within the special educational needs (SEN) sector
  • Helps create a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students
  • Will be able to provide 1-1 support to students where needed
  • Helps maintain the high expectations for learning and behaviour that the school hold
  • Will always support students in activities, or interventions, building confidence and knowledge

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge and experience working with SEN students
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply for one)
  • Exceptional communication and relationship management skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently while keeping a positive attitude
  • Experience working with children in an education setting and has a genuine interest in child development and learning
