SEN Teaching Assistant
We are seeking for dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join our team and support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children and young people.
Location: Barnsley & Rotherham
Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time / Flexible
Salary: Competitive Rate
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
About the Role:
- Provide tailored support to pupils with a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties.
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and adapting materials to meet individual needs.
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
- Support pupils with personal care and mobility where required.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children with SEN (desirable but not essential).
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage challenging behaviour in a positive and constructive manner.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) are advantageous.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
