Year 2 Teacher Liverpool

Teaching Personnel are working closely with a Catholic client school that are looking to recruit a KS1 Teacher to start as soon as possible. The school is a large Primary school based in Liverpool and they are looking for a Year 2 Teacher due to a planned absence coming up in school.

It was graded 'Requires Improvement' in its last Ofsted report and there was halted progress made by the pupils through key stage 1 and attainment levels are well below the national average by the end of key stage 2. This is something the new Headteacher is looking to change in the next couple of years alongside improving the Ofsted grading.

The Year 2 class consists of 22 pupils from varying backgrounds and mixed ability. There are a small number of pupils in the class with additional needs however; there is 1 Teaching Assistants in place to offer support and guidance throughout the placement. The school are looking for someone with experience of working in Year 2 and the SATs process to accelerate learning in an underperforming year group.
