Year 2 Teacher required in Sefton

  • Long term job opportunity between £80-120 per day depending on experience
  • Experience planning, delivering and assessing the Key Stage 1 curriculum including SATs is highly sought after for this role

Teaching Personnel is delighted to announce their Catholic Schools Recruitment Partnership with Liverpool Archdiocese. The Archdiocese has a network of 227 schools and colleges across 8 local education authorities. Many of these schools have forged strong links with Teaching Personnel and use our services and candidates as part of their recruitment process.

Did you know…….At age 11, Catholic schools outperform the national average English and Maths SATs scores by 6%

Teaching Personnel are working closely with a Catholic client school that are looking to recruit a KS1 Teacher to start in December 2016. The school is a smaller than average, Primary school based in Sefton and they are looking for a Year 2 Teacher due to a maternity coming up in school.

It was graded ‘Outstanding’ in its last Ofsted report and there was increased progress made by the pupils through key stage 1 and attainment levels are above the national average by the end of key stage 2.

The Year 2 class consists of 29 pupils from varying backgrounds and mixed ability. There are2 pupils in the class with additional needs however; there are 2 Teaching Assistants in place to offer support and guidance throughout the placement. The school are looking for someone with experience of working in Year 2 and the SATs process to accelerate learning in an underperforming year group.
