-Secure a long term position in Great Harwood

- Deliver interventions to a small group of children with some work on a 1:1 basis

- Recent KS1 experience is a necessity- Level 2 Qualification or above

A small C of E School located in Great Harwood are looking to employ a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant for after the Easter Holidays, to place in their Year 1 class. The role consists of delivering interventions to a small group of children following the National Curriculum, and also working on a 1:1 basis with children who have Special Educational Needs.

The successful candidate will be expected to provide quality support in line with the KS1 Curriculum framework, specifically targeting Maths, Reading and Writing skills and phonics. The Head Teacher has stressed she would like a support practitioner with 'excellent behaviour management' and a 'passion for working with young children'. The position is a temporary post with the potential to become permanent.

The school is in an easily accessible location with nearby bus routes and a train station. The school is a top performing school with the majority of children working at age related expectations. After their recent Ofsted inspection they received an overall 'Good'. The Head Teacher has said the support staff are 'Superb' and 'are a driven and supportive team' and wants to strive for 'Outstanding' for the next Ofsted inspection. She is keen to implement a strong community spirit amongst staff and parents, as well as maintaining high standards for behaviour as well as academic development. The facilities of the school are excellent, surrounded by large grounds and plenty of learning spaces to deliver interventions.

The salary is based on a 6.5 hour day, Monday to Friday, and depending on experience, this could vary between ÂŁ8.40-ÂŁ10.50 per hour. Additional salary may increase depending on the interest of welfare.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
