YEAR 1 TEACHING ASSISTANT - PHONICS SPECIALIST, Crumpsall, Manchester, M8

A 'GOOD' school in Manchester (M8) is seeking a Teaching Assistant to join their energetic KS1 team. The successful candidate will work alongside the Year 1 class teacher as a general teaching assistant but will also be required to deliver phonics intervention sessions across KS1 and KS2. The successful candidate will be working with children who need extra support to help raise attainment in reading, writing and spelling. The school is looking for an enthusiastic teaching assistant who has a passion for raising attainment and assisting children's learning across all areas.

To be considered for the role, you must:

  • Have extensive phonics knowledge
  • Be confident delivering intervention sessions to children across KS1 & KS2
  • Be an enthusiastic practitioner and positive role model to children across the school

This two form entry primary school believes in continually supporting learners personally and academically whilst creating an engaging environment for staff and students alike.

This post is to start immediately and will run up until the end of the academic year. The school are looking for an experience, dedicated teaching assistant to join their KS1 team to support all students in year 1 and to deliver phonics intervention sessions across school. If you feel as though you have the relevant experience and would like to be considered for the role then you are encouraged to apply.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
