Year 1 Teacher, October Start, Middleton, Manchester M24

A two form entry 'Good' primary school in the Middleton area of Manchester (M24) are looking for a teacher to join their KS1 team on a full time basis starting October to cover a fixed term contract. The school are looking for a committed teacher with strong curriculum knowledge and behaviour management techniques to effectively deliver all areas of the Year 1 curriculum to one of their two year 1 classes. The ideal candidate will have recent and relevant experience teaching across KS1 and will be able to deliver enticing lessons at an 'OUTSTANDING' level whilst moving children forward in their learning at all times. This role will start at October and will be a fixed contract for 12 months.

This is a well managed school who 'value the diversity of our school community'. The school are looking for a teacher who comes with a positive attitude and new ideas to become a valued member of the school team. Experienced teachers and newly qualified teachers are encouraged to apply for this post. The school currently use Jolly phonics so experience in this would be beneficial, however not essential.

To be considered for this post you will:

  • Have recent and relevant experience teaching in Year 1
  • Have strong behaviour management techniques
  • Have a sound knowledge of the KS1 curriculum knowledge.

This is 2 form entry primary school has been praised by OFSTED for it's leadership and management team 'who make staff members feel valued and continuously supported.' The Head Teacher and SLT and looking forward to welcoming a new teacher to join their team.
