Teaching Assistants – Primary Schools in St Ives, St Neots, Huntingdon, Peterborough & Surrounding Villages

Salary: £95–£120 per day (Highest‑paying agency in Cambridgeshire & Peterborough)
Hours: 08:30–15:30, Monday–Friday
Contract: Full‑time & Part‑time | Temporary with long‑term & permanent potential
Start: Ongoing

About the Role

Teaching Personnel is seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to support our partner Primary schools across St Ives, St Neots, Huntingdon, Peterborough, and surrounding villages.

Schools are looking for:

  • 1:1 Support Staff for children with additional or specific needs
  • General Classroom TAs across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
  • Flexible support roles offering a mix of in‑class support and small‑group/withdrawal work

Most roles begin on a temporary basis, with many progressing into long‑term or permanent positions for the right candidate.

Our partner schools are warm, welcoming and highly supportive, offering a collaborative environment where staff are valued. Work is available every day, with full‑time and part‑time vacancies depending on your availability and experience.


Requirements

To be considered for this Teaching Assistant role, you will need:

  • At least 6 months’ experience working in a school or similar educational/care setting (within the last 3 years)
  • A TA qualification (desirable but not essential)
  • A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development
  • Willingness to undergo necessary safeguarding checks

All successful applicants must hold, or be willing to apply for, an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service.
