A Primary School in the heart of Nelson, East Lancashire have approached Teaching Personnel in order to source and appoint a Year 1 class teacher to take up a full time teaching role in KS1 from after the Easter holidays. The role is expected to continue until the end of the academic year (Summer 1) with the view to a temp. to perm. option being available.

The Head teacher has notified the agency on the following…'I am looking for a teacher who can come into the KS1 department and share GOOD and OUTSTANDING practice. We are clear in that we would like a practitioner who can come into school and hit the ground running, someone who wants to develop their teaching career and potentially move on to leadership/additional teaching and learning responsibilities'.

The school is located outside the main town centre in Nelson, and is easily commutable by train and car. With this said, there are a number of children in the school who come from a range of multi-cultural backgrounds and so this affects the development of language and communication skills. The Head teacher has commented that she would like to appoint a teacher who has worked closely with either the Read Write Inc. or the Letters and Sounds Phonics Scheme.
