Do you want to work in an improving Blackburn Primary School?
A Primary School in Blackburn requires a Year 1 Teacher. This school has been consistently using Teaching Personnel for over 4 years. The applying candidates must have QTS and recent experience in Key Stage 1. Due to maternity cover the school wants to appoint a full time teacher in Year 1 to start after the Easter holidays. You will be expected to contribute to the wider School Community by leading an after school club, attending INSETs and staff meetings. The school is a faith school but it is not a necessity to be affiliated with a church to be successful in this role.
The class is average sized with a catchment of mainly white British heritage children. The children tend to arrive from challenging backgrounds and so the entry level is lower than National Average particularly for Maths, Reading and Writing. The School do have a strong and consistent behaviour policy which is used effectively to ensure all the children work to their potential and no disruptive behaviour can affect this. The School is currently on an upward journey after implementing recent feedback received from Ofsted, such as recruiting additional teaching assistants to help support the needs of the children. In the class there is a full time Teaching Assistant who will also lead interventions when required.
If you are interested in the role specified above then please don't hesitate to contact Charlotte.
