Year 1/2 Class Teacher

Role

Teaching Personnel are looking for a Fully Qualified or Newly Qualified Teacher for a full-time teaching post starting as soon as possible. The school is located in central Wakefield and has excellent and direct public transport routes to and from the school from neighbouring cities (Leeds and Doncaster). The school is a two form entry Primary School with 29 children in the mixed Year 1/2 class. You will be required to start as soon as possible until July 2019 with the possibility of the role going permanent.

Ideal candidate

The school are looking for a:

• Fully qualified or Newly qualified teacher who has recent experience teaching in KS1 (Year 1/2)
• SATs experience (Key Stage 1)
• Previous experience supporting pupils with additional needs (SEN)

School

The school received 'Good' at its last Ofsted in 2016 and last year received above 55% in the SATs in Year 1/2 in all subject areas (Reading, Writing and Maths). Reading is a subject that the Year 1/2 class struggle with in which they school are organising specific reading interventions for the new academic year along with scheduled guided reading on a 121 daily basis. The school is a 'Good' school and are looking to receive 'Outstanding' in their next Ofsted inspection. The school have a strong and supportive SLT who run regular INSET and training days.
